Fire Evacuation Plans for Queensland and Australian Buildings

Fire Auditors prepares and documents building-specific fire evacuation plans for property managers, strata managers, and building owners. Compliant with AS 3745:2010 and Queensland fire safety legislation, written and reviewed by independent fire safety professionals.

Outdated Evacuation Plan Is a Compliance Failure Waiting to Happen.

Every regulated building in Queensland is required to have documented evacuation coordination procedures that meet Australian Standard AS 3745:2010. A missing, outdated, or incorrectly written evacuation plan is a compliance failure that affects your Occupier's Statement, your insurance, and your legal obligations. If your building has changed layout, increased occupancy, or appointed new wardens since your last plan was written, your current documentation may no longer be compliant. We write, review, and update evacuation plans tailored specifically to your building and its occupants.

What a Compliant Evacuation Plan Covers

We document your building's evacuation coordination procedures covering warden roles and responsibilities, occupant instructions, assembly points, communication procedures, and emergency contact information. Every plan is written to meet AS 3745:2010 requirements and reviewed by a qualified fire safety professional before delivery.

  • Warden roles and occupant responsibilities clearly documented for your specific building and occupancy.

  • Assembly points, communication procedures, and emergency contacts confirmed and recorded.

  • Written to meet AS 3745:2010 and Queensland fire safety legislation, ready for display and submission.

A Plan That Works in an Emergency and Holds Up Under a Compliance Review

An evacuation plan is not just a document you file away. It is the record your insurer, regulator, and Queensland Fire Department will ask for after an incident. Getting it right before something happens is what protects your building and the people in it. Fire Auditors produces evacuation plans for buildings across Queensland, NSW, Victoria, and Western Australia including remote sites. We work with strata managers, body corporates, facilities directors, and building owners who need compliant documentation they can rely on.

Why is a fire safety inspection crucial for my building?

Fire safety inspections are vital for ensuring your building is safe, compliant with regulations, and ready for emergencies. Regular inspections help identify and fix potential risks, protecting your property and the safety of everyone inside.

What are my legal requirements under fire safety regulations?

Under Queensland's regulations, your legal requirements for fire safety include:

  • Following the Building Fire Safety Regulation 2008 for safety measures and evacuation plans.
  • Meeting the Queensland Development Code Part MP 6.1 for fire safety installation maintenance.
  • Abiding by the Fire and Emergency Services Act 1990 for overall safety compliance.

  • Keeping accurate records of all fire safety maintenance, testing, and training activities conducted.

These requirements are crucial for ensuring the safety of your premises and compliance with state laws.

Why is fire evacuation training important for my staff?

Fire evacuation training prepares your staff to respond quickly and safely during an emergency. It covers evacuation procedures, escape routes, and emergency roles, helping to protect lives and ensure your building complies with safety regulations.

How does fire warden training benefit my building?

Fire warden training ensures designated staff are fully equipped to lead during emergencies. It prepares them to manage evacuations, use safety equipment, and coordinate with emergency services, keeping your building compliant and everyone inside safe.

Can you help  with fire extinguishers and smoke alarms?

No, and this is an important distinction. Fire Auditors is an independent auditing company. We assess and report on compliance, we do not physically service, install, or maintain fire equipment. If you need extinguisher servicing, smoke alarm testing, or any fire equipment maintenance, you need a licensed fire protection company. We are happy to point you in the right direction. If you need an independent audit on top of your maintenance, which is a separate legal requirement, that is where we come in.

What types of buildings do you audit?

We audit commercial buildings, residential strata complexes, body corporate properties, convention centres, office buildings, warehouses, industrial facilities, government buildings, and large organisations across Queensland, New South Wales, and Victoria. If you are unsure whether your building type falls within our scope, contact us and we will let you know quickly.

Can you audit multiple buildings?

Yes. We work regularly with strata managers and body corporates responsible for multiple buildings. We can audit individual buildings as required or set up an ongoing compliance schedule across your entire portfolio so nothing slips through. If you manage multiple buildings and want one consistent, reliable auditor across all of them, contact us to talk through how we would structure that.
